Last week I wrote about how easy it is to arrange an aged care massage for an elderly loved one. This week, I want to share with you what happens next.
The provider has visited your elderly loved and carried out an initial assessment. If your elderly love one chooses to receive a regular aged care massage, the provider contacts Massage2Motivate and provides us with some background information.
We then arrange for one our aged care massage therapists to visit your loved one. Every aged care massage therapist is qualified, insured and has a current police check.
For the first visit, the massage therapist will spend some time talking to the recipient about any concerns or health issues. The massage therapist will then commence massaging the elderly recipient on a mobile massage table. Alternatively, a chair or the bed can be used if the elderly recipient cannot get onto a table.
The aged care massage session generally lasts for one hour and visits can be organised weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
The provider organises funding of the aged care massage directly to Massage2Motivate, so there is no concern regarding money changing hands at the end of the massage.
